The Baroque – An Era of Extremities:

Alongside the social changes of the 17^th Century, begins the emerging of music from the Christian church and thus the development of instrumental genres. In this lecture we will establish the processes that lead to these changes and examine the implications of the unique aesthetics of the Baroque on the era’s architecture, paintings, sculptures, and…  music.
